Artequip Etching Presses have been designed for private, professional and educational use. The presses are available in a range of sizes: A
series: Small direct drive presses The presses are designed and manufactured in our Braeside (Vic.) factory. This gives us complete control over every aspect of their production. Care has been taken to select finishes resistant to the acid/solvent environment of a print making studio and to enable the presses to be easily cleaned. A and B series presses are finished in a black polyester powdercoat. The larger C series presses are finished in an industrial enamel paint of the customer's choice on all presses; working surfaces, including the handwheel rim are chrome plated. A variety of options and accessories are available for all presses: Steel Bed - High quality plate steel which has been stress relieved and surface ground both sides. Tufnol Bed -
A lightweight/high strength phenolic resin based laminate. Tufnol
is 1/6, the weight of steel, offering considerable transport and
safety advantages. Stand options - A series presses are designed for the benchtop but can be stand mounted if desired. C series presses do not require a stand. Blankets - Blankets are available for all our presses. Blankets are supplied 10 mm narrower and 100 mm shorter than bed size. A set of blankets consists of 2 x 3 mm and 1 x 6 mm felt blankets. Other Products - Artequip also manufactures a range of other printmaking equipment. This includes Relief and Lithographic Presses, Hot Plates, Levigators and our unique Etching/Litho conversion press. Our presses are available direct from the factory and are covered
